We don't quite understand it, but for some reason this red and white striped stocking hat is a coveted item among the cousins. One of them is always wearing it. There is a scarf that matches it but we managed to convince KK that it wasn't quite THAT cold. The hat wasn't about to come off though. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand with the new rakes they were given. Brog, Estelle and Whitney worked hard to fill a bucket with sand and water. It was a very beautiful day. The next morning it was cold and rainy again but as we drove home the weather warmed and we arrived to find that the weekend had been warm enough to encourage the buds to open on the trees, flowers to explode from the ground and birds to frantically build nests. Kayla exclaimed, "Look, popcorn trees!". It's nice to be seeing some warmer weather again.

Thanks for everyone's help. Things are looking pretty good at camp now. All we need is some more warm days!
